Unfortunately because we are due to move in the near future we have suspended taking articles for repair and sell on. Our problem is one of storage during the time (sometimes many weeks) that it takes to sell things on.
We build things, we restore and repair things, we recycle things, but most importantly we bring people together.
Commissioned by Four Marks Parish Council. To be sited in front of the shops as a community facility.
These came into the Men's Shed in a well used and loved piece of furniture. The customer was very keen to extend their life and asked if we were able to refurbish them.
The bottom image shows the before and top the afte and the customer is very happy with the work carried out all thanks to Peter and the team. They look amazing.
When Tichborne Parks Traditional Cricket Scoreboard had seen much better days we were asked by the Club to build a replacement. We did this at the Shed which left us with the Challenge of getting it to the Cricket Ground two miles away. With the aid of a fork lift truck, a large trailer, and the farm equipment at the other end, we achieved the move and the Cricket Club were very pleased with the result.
Most of the Playschools in Alresford and the villages have Sensory Boards built by Alresford Men's Shed. These boards can be used to help children develop their sensory processing abilities, which are critical for learning, communication, and overall development. They are particularly useful for children with autism.
This Rocking Horse was in a sorry state until the Shed members got to work. With the help of accessories that were obtained from the online Rocking Horse Shop, the finished article ended up looking very much like new.

When someone gave the Shed a delapidated Drum, it was modified and topped with a redundant glass table top to produce this retro- coffee table
When the ladies of the town knitted several hundred Poppies, the Shed was approached to design and build a display for St John's Church. The challenge was to create netting capable of supporting 15Kg of poppies that increased to five times that weight when wet, and suspending it from the parapet wthout drilling into the Church walls.The Great War Soldier Silhouettes rounded off the tribute by the town to those who fell in the wars.
This Bench was made almost entirely with recycled Pallet Wood, the only thing that wasn't were two large bolts which give the seat it's strength.
